Shaped Songs is an intermedia performance-concert of electro-acoustic interpretations of the last song cycles by Robert Schumann (Mary Stuart Poems) and Hugo Wolf (Three Songs on Poems of Michelangelo) for two voices, piano and live programming. Both composers had suffered in their last years of life from serious diseases. This changed their mental state and perception of world around them. In Shaped Songs, this change is expressed in a compositional shift with new electro-acoustic inputs. The new form of the song becomes both a reflection of a delirium as well as of lucid moments.
