What if we could successfully transform organs in individuals who, at present, are unable to express their unique perception of the world? What would we learn about the inner world of a child with autism? How would someone, whose body or mind prevents them from communicating in ways we understand, describe their joys? Such thoughts are often pondered by their closest loved ones — particularly parents, who dream of a day when their non-verbal children might speak in fluent, articulate language.
